14 authors. 4 courses. 1 great literary dinner!
An evening that brings book lovers, writers and assorted purveyors of fine culture together for a fabulous feast in a beautiful setting.
At the start of the evening an author is appointed to each table. Each of these fourteen writers then moves to a new table between courses ensuring guests will find themselves ‘hosted’ by four different people during the night. This is in addition to the addresses which will be given to the assembled company during the meal, but if you missed the chance to speak to an author there will also be an opportunity to meet them at the end, buy their books and have these signed.
Amongst our esteemed hosts will be: Alison Wier, the well-known author of several acclaimed historical books, both non-fiction and fiction including The Princes in the Tower, The Six Wives of Henry VIII and most recently Mary Boleyn ‘The Great and Infamous Whore’, Essie Fox, local author whose debut Victorian novel, Somnambulist, is featured on The TV Book Club and Helen Rappaport, whose biography of Victoria and Albert, Magnificent Obsession, is a critical triumph. They will be joined by eleven other respected authors.
The evening’s entertainment is brought to you by Glow Events with Windsor Festival, in association with Book Swap.
I found Joshua on Instagram, a social mobile photography site currently only available on the iPhone. His feed caught my attention because he has an ability to compose for the square frame that tells you what you should be looking at, and he has developed a style. In addition he has a drive and initiative that shows through in his attitude, not the least of which is that he branded his style, and he blades to and from work. These are all qualities that I enjoyed coming across.
